The world’s tallest tropical tree was discovered in 2018 at Danum Valley Conservation Area, Sabah – with a towering height of 100.8 meters.

The Asian elephant is categorized as Endangered in the IUCN Red List since the year 1986. The population in Peninsular Malaysia was estimated at 1,450 in the year 2017.

Spanning over 260,000 hectares, the Kenyir Lake holds its title of largest man-made lake in South East Asia.

At Tropical Rainforest Conservation & Research Centre, we aim to play our part in protecting Malaysia's rare, threatened and endangered plant species.
